English and Children

Oh! English, the so-called, infamously famous language that everyone is afraid of! Do we even need to teach our little ones in Kindergarten English when they can’t even count to 100?  Of course, learning English is essential. Learning English is an art. Learning English is a science,

Here are 6 reasons why we need to teach our little ones their A, B, and Cs right off the bat.

01. Enhanced cognitive functions

Let’s talk science first. Learning a newer language at a younger age fuels their brains to function faster and much for efficiently, aiding their learning process. It promotes the memory capacity of youngsters, alongside their ability to recognize and memorize patterns and shapes which will come in handy when they are in university taking Math 55 at Harvard.

02. Academic excellence in the global world

They don’t call English, the universal language for nothing! The earlier you start with their English education, the faster they grasp the language. By the time they hit their twenties, they could be naturally bilingual and would not have to chase after 45-day English camps, as they would be speaking in impeccable English after years of practice. Their future would be one bright phenomenon where their higher studies feel smoother and their prospective careers look lucrative.

03. Perfect pronunciation and richer vocabulary

Your children will never struggle to pronounce ‘supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’ as we do if you start their English education earlier. The little ones are natural learners who literally absorb any language smoothly and effortlessly. You would be surprised to know that children have this unique ability to learn any language without an accent. No matter where you’re from, if you start your English education earlier, you will end up sounding like a British gentleman at a royal ball.  Plus, your vocabulary will be much richer after years of education and your articulation will be perfectio!

04. It’s the language of the digital era

In this digitalized era, there’s no avoiding children tapping on their phones ever so often. What we could do, however, is to teach them the language of the digital era, English, so that they will always be aware of the world they dive head first into. They will know their way around navigating the digital world, extracting information, and being safe. Your little one will never tap on ‘click to claim your prize’ if they know enough English to understand the waiting trap.

05. It’s the language of the global world

English dominates in each and every sector across the global. It does not matter whether your child wanna be a part of the aviation sector or the science or cultural studies, English will ultimately be the language they have to be familiar with. Hence, the earlier you start, the longer they have to make English their second nature, giving them an unparalleled advantage in the cut-throat world.

06. Entertainment first !

From Lion King to Boss Baby and Cinderella, all the modern forms of kids’ entertainment are largely found in English. The scope of movies, books, cartoons, and dramas is simply infinite when English is ingrained in them.

Understandably, what you just went through is only 6 of the 24728288 reasons why English is oh-so-important for the future of your little one. If you ever want to see your babies, flourishing, and conquering the world like the kings and queens ( and knights in shining armor) that they are born to be, English, (un)fortunately is non-negotiable. It’s a simple necessity for a brighter future.
