Imagination is the solace of many. The hungry child imagines a meal, the orphan imagines care, the dying imagines life, the sick imagines health, the fallen imagines stability, the fighter imagines peace. It is only through imagination, the world holds on to hope; to rays of light that would guide it out of its darkness. On the other hand, empathy and understanding too begin with imagination. We imagine what it is to struggle, what it means to long, what it means to be crippled. It is through such imagination that we are inspired to uplift the downtrodden and the weak. Imagination can also define our purposes. It would guide us in the path that we take to greatness, both, as individuals and as a community. The world today with its wars, starvation, hunger and crisis is in desperate need of such imagination. It paints pictures of crimeless cities, of peace between nations, of economies prosperous, of oceans blue, of the planet green and of skies clean. It is indeed utopic, but it is towards such utopic greatness that we constantly work.
Aimed at creating a better world for everyone, the RACFOL introduces the theme for the year 2022/23, ‘Imagine beyond bounds’. It is an embodiment of the desires we hold for the world tomorrow. The dreams we hold; to serve, to learn and to grow. For the 11th consecutive year, the club aspires to embark on a journey of defying boundaries in order to empower the world around us with kindness, service, diversity and fellowship. Inspired by the Rotary theme for the year, ‘Imagine Rotary’, the club hopes to celebrate and highlight the importance of imagination in order to create the world we desire.

Our members, being students of law are equipped with legal knowledge and understanding,
which allows them to work across different fields that our society needs today. We aspire
towards making positive change around us, where respect of others is highlighted and ethical standards are promoted. The club is driven towards the development of professional and leadership skills of its members, who are, through a multitude of local and international networking, provided with opportunities to address concerns of their immediate community and the world around them. While everyone as humans, imagine and have dreams, only a very few are able to find the will to bring those dreams into a reality. The Rotaract Club of the Faculty of Law, Colombo provides its eager, and energetic youth the will power to create, mould and build their dreams into fruition.
We, as a team, believe that together, we can realize any dream, big or small. Hence, the call to imagine beyond bounds. We envision not merely “a better tomorrow”, but “the best
tomorrow”, which when realized would have broken free of barriers and limitations of today.
The RACFOL has driven and cooperative members speaking different languages, with legal
knowledge and background to their advantage. Thus, embracing this diversity and utilizing the uniqueness of our members, we look to make lasting changes in the society.

පරිකල්පනය බොහෝ දෙනෙකුගේ සැනසීමයි.කුසගින්නෙන් පෙළෙන දරුවා ආහාර වේලක් ගැන සිතයි.අනාථයා රැකවරණය ගැන සිතයි.මිය යන්නන් ජීවිතය ගැන සිතින් මවා ගනියි.රෝගීන් සෞඛ්‍යය ගැන සිතයි.කඩාවැටුණු පුද්ගලයා ස්ථාවරත්වය පිලිබදව සිතයි.සටන්කරුවා සාමය සිතින් මවා ගනී.එය පරිකල්පනයක්ම පමණකි.මුළු ලෝකයාම බලාපොරොත්තු තබාගන්නේ අදුරෙන් ආලෝකයට එන මග පෙන්වීමකට ය.අනෙක් අතට සංවේදනයත් අවබෝධයත් ආරම්භ වන්නේ පරිකල්පනයෙනි.අරගල කිරීම,දිගු කිරීම,අබ්බගාත වීම යනාදිය පිලිබදව සිතමු.පීඩිතයන් හා දුබලයන් නගා සිටුවීමට අප පෙලඹෙන්නේ එවැනි චින්තනයන් තුළිනි.පරිකල්පනය අපගේ අරමුණු නිර්වචනයටද සමත් වෙයි.එය මිනිසුන් වශයෙන් ප්‍රජාවක් වශයෙන් ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨත්වය කරා යන මාවතට මග කියාදෙයි.එවැනි චින්තනයන් යුද්ධ,කුසගින්න,අර්බුද වලින් පෙළුනු වත්මන් ලෝකයට අත්‍යවශ්‍යම ය.එය අපරාධවලින් තොර නගරයක,සාමකාමී ජාතියක,සමෘද්ධිමත් ආ්ර්ථිකයක,නිල්වන් සාගරයක,පිරිසිදු අහසක පිංතාරු කරන ලද සිතුවමක් සේය.එය ඇත්තෙන්ම සිතින් මවාගත්තකි.නමුත් අප නිරන්තරයෙන් ක්‍රියා කළ යුත්තේ එකී මන කල්පිතත්වයෙන් ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨත්වයක් අත්කර ගැනීම උදෙසා ය.
සියල්ලන්‍ටම වඩාත් හොද ලොවක් නිර්මාණය කිරීමේ අභිප්‍රාය පෙරදැරිව RACFOL විසින් සිය තේමාව ලෙස “Imagine Beyond the Bounds” (චින්තනය සීමාවෙන් ඔබ්බට) හදුන්වා දෙයි.එය හෙට ලෝකය වෙනුවෙන් අප තුල ඇති අභිප්‍රායන්ගේ ප්‍රතිමූර්තියයි.අප දකින සිහින ඉගෙනීමට,සේවයට සහ වර්ධනය උදෙසා ය. අප සමාජයේ අපේක්ෂාව වන්නේ අවට ලෝකය කරුණාව,සේවය,විවිධත්වය සහ සහයෝගීතාවයෙන් සවිබල ගැන්වීමට අඛණ්ඩව එකොළොස්වන වසරටත් සීමා මායිම් නොතකා යන ගමන ආරම්භ කිරීමට ය.මෙවර තේමාව වන “Imagine Rotary” තුළින් අප ඇළුම් කරනා ලෝකය නිර්මාණය කිරීම සදහා පරිකල්පනයේ වැදගත්කම සැමරීමට සහ ඉස්මතු කිරීමට බලාපොරොත්තු වේ.

අප සාමාජිකයන් නීතිය හදාරන නීති ශිෂ්‍යයන් ලෙස නීතිමය දැනුමෙන් පෝෂිතව නූතන සමාජයට අවශ්‍යය පරිදි විවිධ ක්ෂේත්‍ර ඔස්සේ වැඩ කිරීමට ඉඩ සලසයි.අන් අයට ගෞරව දක්වමින් සදාචාරාත්මක ප්‍රමිතීන් ප්‍රවර්ධනය කරමින් අප වටා ධනාත්මක වෙනසක් ඇති කර ගැනුමට අපි අපේක්ෂා කරන්නෙමු.උක්ත සමාජය මෙහෙයවනු ලබන සාමාජිකයන් වෘත්තීය හා නායකත්ව කුසලතාවලින් හෙබි පිරිසක් වන අතර ඔවුන් දේශීය හා ජාත්‍යන්තර ජාලකරණයන් රාශියක් හරහා ඔවුන්ගේ ආසන්නතම ප්‍රජාවේ ගැටළු විසදීමට ඔවුන්ට අවස්ථාවන් සලසා දී ඇත.මිනිසුන් ලෙස සෑම අයෙකුම සිහින දකින තර එකී සිහින යථාර්ථයක් බවට පත්කර ගැනීමට හැකිව ඇත්තේ ඉතා සුළු පිරිසකට ය.කොළඹ නීති පීඨ රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය සිය උද්‍යෝගී හා ජවසම්පන්න තාරුණ්‍යයට ඔවුන්ගේ සිහින මල් ඵල ගැන්වීමට,හැඩගස්වා ගැනීමට සහ ගොඩ නැගීමට අවශ්‍යය සවිය ලබා දෙයි.
කණ්ඩායමක් ලෙස සෑම සිහිනයක්ම මල්ඵල ගැංවීමට හැකි බව අපගේ විශ්වාසයයි. අපේ දැක්ම හුදෙක් “වඩාත් හොද හෙටක් “(A better tomorrow) නොව හෙට දින “හොදම හෙට දින”(the best Tomorrow) බවට පත් කිරීමට ය. එය අවබෝධ වූ කල සියලු බාධක සහ සීමාවන්ගෙන් මිදීමට හැකිවනු ඇත.RACFOL සමාජය විවිධ වූ භාෂා කතා කරන, නීතිමය දැනුමෙන් සපිරි, අනෙකාට උදවු කරන, සහයෝගීත්වය පෙරදැරි කරගත් පිරිසකගෙන් පෝෂිතය.මෙකී විවිධත්වය වැළද ගනිමින් සාමාජිකයන්ගේ අපූර්වත්ව කෞෂල්‍යය උපයෝගී කොට ගනිමින් සමාජය තුළ අගනා වෙනස්කම් ඇති කිරීමට අපේක්ෂා කරමු.

கற்பனை பலருக்கு ஆறுதலாக உள்ளது.பசியுள்ள குழந்தை உணவை கற்பனை செய்கிறது, ஆதரவற்றோர் ஆதரவை கற்பனை செய்கிறார்கள்,இறப்பவர் வாழ்க்கையை கற்பனை செய்கிறார்,நோயாளி ஆரோக்கியத்தை கற்பனை செய்கிறார், வீழ்ந்தவர் ஸ்திரத்தன்மையை கற்பனை செய்கிறார்,போராளி அமைதியை கற்பனை செய்கிறார்.இந்த கற்பனையின் மூலம் மட்டுமே உலகம் நம்பிக்கையை வைத்திருக்கிறது.அந்த ஒளிக்கதிர்கள் அதன் இருளில் இருந்து அதை வழி நடத்தும். மறுபுறம்,அனுதாபம் மற்றும் புரிதல் கூட கற்பனையுடன். போராடுவது என்றால என்ன? ஏங்குவது என்றால் என்ன?உளனமுறுவது என்னவாக இருக்கும் என்றெல்லாம் நாம் கற்பனை செய்கிறோம்.இத்தகைய கற்பனையின் அடிப்படையிலேயே நாம் பலவீனமான தாழ்த்தபட்டவர்களையும் மேலுயுயர்த்த முனைகிறோம்.கற்பனையும் நமது நோக்கங்களை வரையறுக்கலாம்.அது நாம் செல்லும் பாதையில் நம்மை மகத்துவமான தனிநபர்களாகவும்,சமூகமாகவும் வழிநடத்தும்.போர்கள்,பசி,பட்டினி மற்றும் நெருக்கடிகள் நிறைந்த இவ்வுலகிற்கு கற்பனை மிகவும் அவசியமாகும்.இது குற்றங்களற்ற நகரம்,நாடுகளுக்கிடையிலான அமைதி,வளமான பொருளாதாரம்,நீலக்கடல்,பசுமையான கிரகம்,தூய்மையான வானம் ஆகியவற்றின் படங்களை வரைகிறது.இது உண்மையில் கற்பனைவாதமாகும்,ஆனால் அத்தகைய கற்பனைவாத்த்தின் மகத்துவத்தை நோக்கியே நாம் தொடர்ந்து செயல்படுகிறோம்.
அனைவருக்கும் சிறந்த உலகத்தை உருவாக்கும் நோக்கத்துடனர,RACFOL 2022/2023 ஆண்டுக்கான ‘எல்லைக்கு அப்பால் கற்பனை செய்’ என்ற கருப்பொருளை அறிமுகப்படுத்துகிறது.இது நாளைய உலகத்தின் மீது நாம் வைத்திருக்கும் ஆசைகளின் உருவகமாகும்.நாம் வைத்திருக்கும் கனவுகளாக சேவை செய்தல்,கற்றுக்கொள்ளுதல் மற்றும் வளர்ச்சியடைதல் என்பன காணப்படுகின்றன. தொடர்ந்து 11வது ஆண்டாக கழகமானது,, நம்மைச் சுற்றியுள்ள கருணை,சேவை,பன்முகத்தன்மை மற்றும் கூட்டுறவு நிறைந்த உலகை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காக எல்லைகளை மீறும் பயணத்தை மேற்கொள்ள விரும்புகிறது.சர்வதேச ரோட்டரி கருப்பொருளான ‘Imagine Rotary’ மூலம் கழகமானது நாம் விரும்பும் உலகத்தை உருவாக்குவதற்கு கற்பனையின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை கொண்டாடவும்,சிறப்பிக்கவும் நம்புகிறது.

நாங்கள் அனைவரும் ஒரு குழுவாக ஒன்றாக இணைந்து,பெரிய அல்லது சிறிய எந்தவொரு கனவையும் நனவாக்க முடியும் என்று நம்புகிறோம்.எனவே அழைப்பு எல்லைக்கு அப்பால் கற்பனை செய்து பாருங்கள். நாம் “A better tomorrow “ மட்டும் அல்ல “The best tomorrow “ஐ கற்பனை செய்கிறோம்.இது உணரப்படும் போது இன்றைய தடைகள் மற்றும் வரம்புகள் இல்லாமல் உடைந்திருக்கும்.RACFOL ஆனது பல்வேறு மொழிகளை பேசும் தேர்ச்சிபெற்ற, சட்ட அறிவு மற்றும் பின்னணியுடன் தங்களுக்கு சாதகமாக உள்ள உறுப்பினர்களை கொண்டுள்ளது. இவ்வாறாக இந்த பன்முகத்தன்மையை உள்வாங்கி , நமது உறுப்பினர்களின் தனித்துவத்தைப் பயன்படுத்தி, சமூகத்தில் நிலையான மாற்றங்களைச் செய்யப்பார்க்கறோம்.
